Olive Tree Analogy Prophecy: Romans 10 & 11 still relevant, on the slate to this day.
Some believers and historical scholars believe fulfillment has already occurred to the degree it needs to be, and things playing out now is the only resolve needed. The past prophets and apostles have set the foundation of the church, fulfilled the remaining prophecy that completed everything other than the return. Various awareness’s could help this viewpoint. Numbers are supposed to increase in true believers as time passes so the mustard plant becomes the largest in the garden (it surely wasn’t a large religion during the crucifixion), numbers in a different mathematical equation also say apostasy and a falling out of the faith is also supposed to occur during the last days which could be a sign things are in motion from that angle. There are many people now who serve in the faith, do the work of an evangelist or defend their faith when given the opportunity, live a quite peaceful godly life without incurring much discord and are following the directions of a bible that says be patient and don’t go chasing anyone claiming anything outside normal practice within church pews; the grass and weeds grow together, the sheep and goats will be separated in due season, things are occurring correctly and when Christ returns it will be clear, so speculating on it isn’t as sound as waking up each morning with a sense of daily living duty, picking up our cross.
We could just see the prophetic methods of the past and generalize it today and keep on as is and maybe be fine with life continuing on for as long as it does with no need to dive into modern prophecies, but that would be like getting a C for a grade. Probably during the 4-month harvest always before us, a semi-large number of people wouldn’t find the push to believe before the reapers come for the separation and judgement, if we look the other way. If the gospel must be heard by the entire world’s population, that 4-month harvest season is important now in the future too, not just establishing the belief back in the early church. With no prophecy (even if they don’t know verses left unvisited) standard church attendance causes some of the lukewarm followers to fall away, some of the would-be believers are waiting for more consistency from past to now (so many fables and absurd stories and it’s written so long ago – is there something else that sparks legitimacy, there are after all many people who naturally do things good for people) and all I see is just church & gospel broadcasting, can probably take my chances in my above average life that’s gotten me by fine.
If you worked for a company that had a policy guideline & instruction book that wasn’t sound, would you really feel good being associated to it, if the alternative companies give more freedom, better overviews, better status quo instruction? Part of the prophetic cause is to show something more to people in a large-scale effort, to heighten perception regarding the integrity of the Church, all denominations included. Part of the prophetic cause is to make sure heavens policy and instruction book doesn’t have holes or unaddressed areas, especially regarding things coming to pass as fulfillment. We already know the bible gives freedom and instruction and good status quo instructions to different types of believers all within the faith, but we risk it being less sound if we don’t clarify a few things just to be on the safe side. Romans 10 and 11 are tied to the end as much as they were to the early church.
A gentile isn’t a specific person type, it’s someone more likely less accustomed to organized religious practice (or none at all), but varying from atheist, agnostic, different religion to Christianity, become believer of the faith with unbelief past, pagan, Satanist, infidel, or any person or people group that isn’t bound by direct obligation for Christianity upfront or ongoing. It’s concerning how God only allowed His chosen people the Jews to be saved and protected throughout the Old Testament. However, there’s always a defense before you dismiss the literature, the surrounding nations wanted victories by their kings hand and by the hand of their gods and war from town to town was always a plot of future action; God got to play along with different beings in temporary situations and the laws of Moses helped Israel and other countries stay intact. It wasn’t until the next progression of social justice that the law of Moses got to fade away to a new grace that > allowed gentiles into the faith< and a further grace that didn’t need letter of the law teachings to represent the spirit of love and the gospel. Ephesians 2:6 talks about the initial revelation, ‘not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit,’ that no longer Jews were just selected but gentiles and all people too, ‘ This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.’ So, if Romans 10 & 11 are still prophetically relevant today, then that means gentiles are still a categorized group of a varying people type even today?
The first thing to pay attention to in a few various verses talk about waiting on ‘the fullness of the gentiles,’ to be completed. The verses that speak of this, don’t just talk about the non-believing gentiles, but for the remaining gentiles who are to become believers and go to heaven as ones who have still not reached their full number and state of belief. Let’s look at the relevant verses regarding this prophesied thing where the fullness of the Gentiles is further made known of.
Romans 11:25 ‘Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.’
Luke 21:24 ‘They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive among all nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.’ This has occurred and the generation that’s bared witness to this (holocaust) has almost passed its allotted timeframe, so let’s talk of this ‘final trampling’ occurring within referred time chunks of 42 months, 3.5 years, and 1,260 days in conjunction with the objectives remaining still left to do with finalizing the gentile effort.
Revelations 11: 1-3 ‘Then I was given a measuring rod like a staff, and I was told, “Rise and measure the temple of God and the altar and those who worship there, but do not measure the court outside the temple: leave that out, for it is given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for forty-two months. And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.’ What we are evaluating, in this particular example, is that these passages create further occurrences for the word gentile and trample, to be relevant in the modern age when the literal territory and practice of Jerusalem and Israel is no longer restricted to itself – that as the prophets and scribes of the past were able to perceive, words used in biblical style and approach are meant to require further analysis and utilization. At a time of the end, people outside the court or Zion, regardless if they have no faith or a different faith, will ‘trample,’ the holy cities stances, neglecting to focus or listen regarding the end and the solidification of the practice. Any word spoken against Christ’s integrity is blasphemy and leads to trampling of further analysis and acceptance. March onward non-believers of Christianity! Yet, the verses above from Luke and Romans talk of the other Gentiles, who come to the faith – whether a literal Jew in the physical territory, or a modern gentile coming to the faith part of Jerusalem Zion worldwide.
It’s all fine and dandy we have some clues that could help the emphasis to continue doing modern day objectives that fit the description of doing standard evangelism, sure we could call a non-believer a gentile but that could be taken wrongly just to term things like that to another person who is smart enough to stay the distance they have from religion up to this point. What else can we connect to this knowledge of the fullness of the gentiles needing to be fulfilled? Well, the title of this Part 4 writing is ‘Olive Tree Analogy Prophecy,’ because an olive tree was used in prophetic verses to help connect a modern call, lest no prophecy ever would occur.
If we go back to the Old Testament book of Zechariah, that has sections speaking of a new day in the future many years out, it talks about two people in the current time frame leading out an initiative to rebuild the temple, and also two people in the future who ‘stand by the Lord of the earth,’ as anointed ones to take on the role of a prophecy in the future. Chapter 4 talks about a vision of a golden lampstand, and in it Joshua the high priest asks about things he saw in the vision, which include two olive trees on the right and left side of the lampstand and seven lamps, and the angel of the Lord responds, ‘do you not know what these are?’ He first tells Joshua the priest, be comforted for the Lord has appointed Zerubbabel (a governor) and you to see the exile and destruction of the temple to be no more. Yet Joshua asks again about the olive tree branches in his vision: Chapter 4: 11-14 ‘Then I said to him, “What are these two olive trees on the right and left of the lampstand?” And a second time I answered and said to him, “What are these two branches of the olive trees, which are beside the two golden pipes from which the golden oil is poured out?” He said to me, “Do you not know what these are?” I said, “No, my lord.” Then he said, “These are the two anointed ones who stand by the Lord of the whole earth.”’
Do you remember in the Part 2 writing ‘Elijah Initiative Prophecy,’ Jesus said ‘to those with ears willing to hear John is Elijah,’ figure it out. Jesus, to instill further seeking, started by saying things like ‘you don’t know?’ He said to a Pharisee named Nicodemus regarding being born again in the Spirit, ‘Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things?’ The angel of the Lord in Joshua’s vision said on two occasions ‘Do you not know what these are?’ This would be difficult for Joshua to fully understand given the Christ savior from Bethlehem had not yet returned, but it is especially written out prophetically for someone to see how a call can be initiated from these writings that are connected to the last chapter in the New Testament in the book of Revelations. Joshua was told if you follow the rules and my commandments and statutes, you & Zerubbabel will be granted access to lead in my temple, while also keeping an earlier prophecy alive, that the Branch would be one to come (representing Jesus to come) but still there are two separate branches (lower case) part of the Olive Tree, in the vision, that are part of a future prophecy.
We looked at Revelations 11:1-3, but the following verse 4 connects with the prophetic cycle of things, where someone has to see through the word and their life’s call, to accept this prophecy as a real-life task. Revelations 11:4 ‘These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth.’ As you can see the verses (Zechariah 4:11-14) and this one have some particular similarities, two olive trees who stand before the Lord of the earth. So with this information, we can further dig into this fullness of the gentiles requirement. We go back to Romans now, to start the Olive Tree Analogy Prophecy, to see how we are to evaluate Chapters 10 & 11.
Romans 10 starts by saying that some well to do people, aren’t actually saved, even people who go to church as ones who wouldn’t identify with a gentile title, but a person within the Christian faith not afraid of the title such as one from the tribe of Israel along with all the believers part of this symbolic-territory-people-group-association. Romans 10:1-4 ‘Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For, being ignorant of the righteousness of God and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.’
Romans 11, is where the entire Olive Tree is used to distinguish a process of everyone coming to faith or being cut off from heaven, if we don’t do the tasks at hand appropriately. Chapter 17 ‘But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, although as wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you.’ Leading up to this verse and after, it talks about a process of God checking out the integrity of the entire base of believers, some are losing inheritance if they stay hardened to various ways of discipline and outlooks on the well being of all people, that the God who says ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’ isn’t pleased enough with his people who expect worldly success as the measure of teaching of righteousness, or as ones who make worldly laws as the end of the matter. It says regarding the gentiles ‘who can be grafted into the olive tree,’ don’t be arrogant, you were off the path and I showed your righteousness to cosign to disobedience people not sharing but keeping the title as saved believers, who will be cut off if they maintain a frigid righteousness of their own that doesn’t meet the standards of a well rounded open minded person accepted by God.
The verses in this chapter talk about no one being safe, that we need to check our hearts on matters, that if the natural branches were cut off, the grafted branches can be cut off, and even if cut off, God can graft back in if you do not continue in unbelief. Chapter 24, ‘For if you were cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these the natural branches, be grafted back into their own olive tree’s.’ The next verse is the one referenced earlier about the partial hardening about some of the people of Israel who live in unbelief but still claim the name and various righteous practices as their justification, that won’t be unhardened until ‘the fullness of the Gentiles,’ has come. We are all the same, but that’s not true. People vary from person type to person type in each family across the world. But it’s not right to differentiate people if were all suppose to be of the same faith right? The answer is like God, Jesus, & the Holy Spirit are ‘one,’ we, as the book of John states, are also ‘one’ with each other. A championship team is ‘one,’ willing to take the alliance of teammates at any cost for the common success. Same type of thing here.
Some believers are cultivated down the path of faith from childhood never straying as one’s part of the natural olive tree, the wild are off the path and have to be born again to a new conception and obedience to the gospel, who have qualities of God that needed at the proper time to be highlighted to show contrary allegiance in the other fold. One branch of the olive tree is cultivated, the other is a wild olive shoot that takes God’s grafting in to become part of His eternity. God said when disputing Satan, ‘Rebuke you, for are these people not a brand to be plucked from the fire?’ Yea the wild path will take you to the fire of hell, but thanks to God’s grafting and judgment on righteousness of the heart, the wild olive branches are plucked to God’s team.
John goes on further to say there are two folds of sheep. Not just one flock, but two flocks who are one together in the faith.
John 10:14-16 ‘I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd.’
Both the Romans prophesy that connects to Revelations and Zechariah, not to mention the Elijah-John taking on of the call for fulfillment’s sake, indicate there are some people that are designated differently into a different crowd. If we went specifically more into this, the people types are called people of Israel or people of Judah. Yes people living in Israel could be a Judah spirit soul and vice versa, it’s God saying above regarding His created loved being, yes I made them see it differently on some matters and we can all share time with each other. Zechariah 12:7-9 ‘And the LORD will give salvation to the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem may not surpass that of Judah. On that day the LORD will protect the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the feeblest among them on that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the angel of the LORD, going before them. And on that day I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.’
Talking of two people types inclined differently to live differently but no one loses; in the future state we all are richly blessed. Judah is saved first, probably because while being off the path, God justified a former ignorant state to the gospel due to love covering a multitude of sins, as ones not subjected to judge outsiders or practices as matter of fact. Also, as one’s who had an issue with Israel’s defense of the gospel and their zeal of association; ‘Because Jesus died for your sins I believe,’ but unable to answer a question of morality from a different viewpoint, creating a straying of association to the cultivated. Judging their own more than outsiders to start with before being called and grafted in.
But Israel is saved when things come to final judgment: Romans 11:26 ‘And in this way all Israel will be saved…’ and Romans 11:29 ‘As regards the gospel, they are enemies for your sake. But as regards election, they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. For just as you were at one time disobedient to God but now have received mercy because of their disobedience, so they too have now been disobedient in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may receive mercy. For God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all.’ So at some point in time believers have differences that separate a further one unity, but even if ‘as enemies of the gospel for your sake,’ it says they are on the same team (even if they don’t just represent the gospel to the full degree of its allowances) as they are following a path of peaceful living destined to be seated alongside the feasts of Abraham whose descendants are numbered like the stars. I’m sure we can’t speculate on heaven the variances of our spirits, but these are the people to keep as family and to visit and relax and enjoy properties at.
To conclude, the Olive Tree Analogy Prophecy is in sync with the final resolve and is part of a spiritual process taking place that is understood deeper by God’s spiritual realm but occurring more complete as the end nears. On this realm during this day and age it’s a cohesive decision to take on a social media profile that identifies the tribes of Israel and Judah that contributes to remaining prophecies coming to pass.
We could just see the prophetic methods of the past and generalize it today and keep on as is and maybe be fine with life continuing on for as long as it does with no need to dive into modern prophecies, but that would be like getting a C for a grade.
