Sackcloth is going through the motions and emotions of human response to a dire impending situation, of risk to your family, that should be reacted to for various purposes that highlight need for God’s intervention or additional mercy.
Gentile isn’t a specific person type; they are more likely less accustomed to organized religious practice (or none at all), but varying from atheist to become believer of the faith, to agnostic, or different religion to Christianity; numerically all have a chance. Some gentiles can convert - pagan, Satanist, infidel, or any person or people group that isn’t bound by direct obligation for Jesus through Christianity upfront or ongoing. They have less odds, but some gentiles are leaders to follow, if they know the parameters of the bible. Even honor if you don't trust God through his Son.
